Day 1
Paro - Drukgyel - Tachog Lhakhang - Thimphu
Upon your arrival in Paro International Airport, you shall be greeted by a aCholala Tours & Travels representatives and he/she shall brief you about the tours, itinerary, inclusions as well as cultural practices of Bhutan including Do’s and Don’ts. Then we will set out for the following sightseeing:
Then we break for lunch at one of the local eateries (you can ask for recommendation on restaurants in Paro to our guide).
After your lunch, we then begin our journey towards the Capital. The distance between Paro and Thimphu is about 65 kms and will take about an hour. On the way, we will visit Tachog Lhakhang located on a hilltop across Pa Chhu connected by an ancient iron bridge built in the late 13th and early 14th century by Thangtong Gyalpo
On reaching Thimphu, we visit the following places;
- Restoration site of new Drukgyel Dzong
- Choedu Goemba
- Kichu Lhakhang

Day 2
Thimphu - Dochu La - Wangdue Phodrang - Gangtey Valley
Our journey to Gangtey Goemba in Phobjikha Valley begins today with a visit to Simtokha Dzong on our way towards Dochula Pass. Then We drive for about 45 minutes before stopping at a stunning landscape of Dochu La Pass, Druk Wangyel Lhakhang and Druk Wangyel Chortens. It offers a majestic 360-degree beautiful panoramic view with far flung snow-peaked Himalayas especially on a clear sunny day.
Without further ado, we continue our journey on East-West highway and stop at Royal Botanical Garden in Lamperi located just below Dochu La Pass. We stop for lunch at an eatery in the warmer valley of Wangdue Phodrang. You will enjoy stunning views of Bhutanese villages set among paddy fields and meandering Punatsang Chhu as we approach restoration site of Wangdue Phodrang Dzong.

Day 3
Gantey Nature Trek - Phobjikha Valley Adventure
Our day in precious Phobjikha valley begin with about 2 hours’ trek commonly known as Gangtey Nature Trek. It begins from the mani stone wall to the north of Gantey Goemba to Khewa Lhakhang in the south. All along the trail, you can either try to spot the endangered species of birds, butterflies, plants and animals as well as enjoy the fresh air gushing through the peaceful valley.
Your hike around the villages in the north, central or southern valley will offer you a chance to experience the traditional architecture, daily household activities, farming, culture, religious and community events. You also have options to explore the natural and cultural aspects of the valley depending on our time span of the visit such as Aeko - Shasila - Moel Trek (4 hours), Kilkhorthang - Tsikona - Khemdro Trek (3 hours) and Risu Lam from Gangtey - Kingathang Trial (3 hours).
Later then you can head back to your hotel and rest at leisure.

Day 4
Gangtey - Dochu La - Lungchutse - Hungtsho - Thimphu
We will leave Gantey valley early in the morning for an interesting hike awaits our arrival at Dochu La. Since the drive will take us about 3 to 4 hours to get to the base of Lungchutse Lhakhang trail.
The hiking trail of Lungchutse Lhakhang to Hungtsho village can be done as a loop starting from Dochula and finishing at Hungtsho village with Lungchutse and Trashigang Lhakhang visit at a total of about 5 to 6 hours. If you run out of energy, we can just do a gentle two and half hour hike to Lungchutse Lhakhang. You will enjoy walking through a fresh air vegetation of hemlock, birch, juniper, bamboo and rhododendron shrubs.
Once at the hotel, we can visit sauna and spa to rejuvenate from our day long hike before we retire for the night.

Thimphu - Tashichho` Dzong - Tango & Cheri Monastery
Today after breakfast we will visit Motithang Takin Reserve. Today's first hike in the capital valley is up north driving for about 30 minutes to the base of Cheri Monastery, Bhutan's first monastery established by Zhabdrung in 1620 with the first monk body. It is an uphill hike of about an hour and roughly takes about two hours to complete.
If you are still up for another interesting hike, we will march on to Tango Monastery. It is easy hike taking us about two hours to complete.
Once we are back to Capital after the hike we will visit the following:

Day 6
Thimphu - Paro - Zuri Goemba Hike
We leave the buzzing capital city Thimphu for pretty Paro valley driving for about an hour to the hilltop near Paro Uma Resort from where we will go on an easy hike to Zuri Goemba. We climb uphill for about 30 minutes before leveling along the slope above the Paro valley with a spectacular view of the valley and opportunity to witness landing and taking off airlines from the airport below. It is a downhill zigzag hike from here towards Go`nsaka Lhakhang located on a hilltop overlooking the Ta Dzong.
We then break for a lunch. Later do the following sightseeing;
We then return for a leisure night at the hotel in preparation for a strenuous hike up to the famous Tiger's Nest temple tomorrow.

Day 7
Tiger's Nest Temple Hike
We start famous Taktsang hike, you can choose to ride a horse from the parking lot to the monasteries with your own expenses. If the full hike sounds a bit tough, you can hike for 1 hour to the cafeteria - a wooden tea-house restaurant which offers a good view of the monastery.
After your successful hike, you will be dropped off to your hotel and enjoy your dinner

Day 8
Jet-off from Paro
Our journey together in Bhutan ends today when you depart to your next destination or to your homeland. We make sure you are all set to fly without any issues. We hope to see you again in another place and time in Bhutan
